Dr. Finegold is an assistant professor at the Keck Graduate Institute (KGI), which is dedicated exclusively to educational programs and research aimed at translating discovery in the biosciences into practice for the benefit of humanity. Finegold possesses an integrative knowledge of ethics, philosophy, political science, the life sciences and leadership. At KGI he has taken the lead in developing KGI's strategy, management and business ethics curriculum. In 2005 Finegold completed a three-year international study of ethical decision making in bioscience companies, ranging from global corporations to biotech start-ups. He published his findings in the book BioIndustry Ethics. Research interests include designs of high-performing life-science organizations, conditions for development of high-technology regions, the Internet’s impact on organization design and human resources and international comparisons of skill-creation systems and performance. Finegold graduated summa cum laude from Harvard University with a bachelor’s degree in social studies. He went on to receive his doctorate of philosophy in political science from Oxford University, where he was a Rhodes Scholar. Leadership and Sciences Syllabus
