  Dr. Jennifer Cable

  Associate professor of music and associate dean of Arts and Sciences at the University of Richmond, Dr. Cable specializes in the research of early Baroque music, serves as the coordinator of vocal studies at the University and mentors voice students, many of whom have gone on to operatic careers.

Cable has traveled widely throughout the United States and Europe, performing a repertoire of music ranging from the early Renaissance to the 20th century. She is an accomplished musician who has performed with many chamber ensembles, including the Tragicomedia, Musica Nova, the Kennedy Center Chamber Players and Currents.

Cable serves as the faculty advisor for the Sirens, the all-female undergraduate a capella group, and the Octaves, the all-male undergraduate a capella group, and has an extensive professional recording background with Word Records and the Contemporary Record Society.

Cable studied at the Eastman School of Music and holds a doctorate in vocal performance.
